It is more calm and peaceful than the intentionally chaotic, more dynamic Crush The Resistance:
Crush The Resistance was recently published on the back cover of TeeKay-421 but this is not its only appearance: Celebration Europe 2016 will launch in a month and on July 15th, Crush and Join the Resistance both will be presented at the booth of TeeKay-421, the Belgian Star Wars Fan Club. If you will be there, come and check the pictures!
Finally, here is the wallpaper version of them together:
My newest piece is an event poster for Pomáz Wind Orchestra – I have a long-time, fruitful relationship with them.
This concert will be a symphony of Star Wars pieces including Jedi Steps and Rey’s Theme from The Force Awakens. As part of the additional programs, I will have an exhibition in the concert hall. more details later…
By the way, did I mention that I am open for commissions? I do personal pieces as well as event posters or product packaging – check my site if you want to see what I can do and let me know what you want!
I made a revised version for an earlier The Force Awakens poster. That old one was entitled “I will fulfill our destiny” but after watching the movie I felt that a bit inappropriate because that sentence sounded like part of a pray and not like a powerful statement.
Therefore, I re-did the poster and the result is: Crush the Resistance!
This was one of my submissions for Celebration Europe 2016 Art Show but the piece was rejected. Nevertheless, it appeared on the back cover of the 75th issue of Teekay-421, the official magazine of the Belgian Star Wars Fan Club, out this Monday.
I hope you like the poster in this form because surely, this was not its only appearance.
The Japanese trailer for Star Wars The Force Awakens was so thrilling that it inspired me to make a new poster artwork. This time, I used the sentence we heard in the trailer as a slogan: “I will fulfill our destiny.”
I tried to capture Kylo Ren’s threatening dynamism that is so perfectly depicted in the trailer. There are other references to the trailer like the TIEs emerging from the orange – what a beautiful shot that was!
Last week’s photos in Entertainment Weekly gave me inspiration to create my first poster for Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens, entitled Heritage.
The picture shows Kylo Ren and the stormtroopers of the First Order destroying a village on Jakku (also seen in the trailer), taking on the cruel heritage of the Sith Lord Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire.
EDIT 27/10/2015: I made slight modifications on the poster. For those who are interested, I post the original version here as published 18/08/2015:
